2012 has treated Kailey well!!

Kailey has had a great 2012. Sure we had surgeries that we prepped and canceled on the table. ER visits that scared the bejebus out of us, but all in all, she has only missed 2 days of school out since August. She is strong headed and bold, opinionated, and silly. She is a powerhouse when she wants something done, she gets it done herself.

In August Kailey asked for purple hair. I assumed it would be a streak. Kailey wanted the hair around her face purple. Well, her dream came true today. Here is my girl. She will be rocking and rolling with her hot pink wheels and her bright purple hair color! Rock on my little self made girl! Rock on!

Every kid who beats the odds, deserves to stand out how ever they see fit. To stand out beyond their disability or illness. This hair says I’m SASSY, and I’m not kidding around! Stare at my face and not my wheels!

This is what happens when you give a girl some wheels….

Kailey is an active kid. We often joke about the need for all terrain tires on her wheelchair. My friend Tim has often linked me to some fierce wheelchairs that have tank wheels. Its starting to seem less funny and more realistic… this girl burns rubber!!!

youch!

She rips through tires…. literally!

If you’ve followed Kailey, you’ll notice that her site has grown, as has Kailey. Gone is the sweet baby theme, because my sweet miracle baby is not a sassy 9 year old.

If you are new here, this is Kailey’s website, out there to share her story. Despite your belief system, there is no denying that this child is a miracle. However, before you read  further, I implore you to go into this with the understanding that Kailey, while medically fragile, is an active bright and fairly typical child.
